Create an RDA compliant record (Easy Editor)

important: The RDA Types tab only appears when RDA is the preferred descriptive cataloging form. Changing the preferred descriptive cataloging form to RDA happens at the district level.

To create an RDA compliant title record in the Easy Editor

  1. Select Catalog, then search for a title.
  2. Select Catalog > Add Title > Add the Title. The Check/Set Sources page appears.
  3. Click the Brief Title tab.
  4. Select the appropriate Material Type and, if applicable, the Subtype.
  5. Complete other fields as needed.
  6. Click the RDA Types tab (see note above).
  7. Add as many of each type as is needed to describe the item.
  8. When you are done, click Save Title.
