Manage Homerooms

Manage Homerooms lets you define your homerooms and their supervisors.

Add a Homeroom

  1. Select Admin > Manage Homerooms.
  2. In Add Homeroom, enter the homeroom name or number (max 90 characters).
  3. To assign an optional supervisor, click Select. The Find Patron page appears.
  4. Find the correct patron, and click Select.
  5. Click Save.

Edit a Homeroom

  1. Select Admin > Manage Homerooms.
  2. To change a homeroom name or supervisor, click Edit icon..
  3. Make changes accordingly.
  4. Click Save.

You can assign a patron to supervise multiple homerooms; you can assign only one supervisor to a homeroom.

Remove a Supervisor

  1. Select Admin > Manage Homerooms.
  2. Next to the homeroom you want to remove a supervisor for, click Edit icon..
  3. Click Clear next to the supervisor's name
  4. Click Save.

Remove a Homeroom

  1. Select Admin > Manage Homerooms.
  2. Next to the homeroom you want to remove , click Delete icon..
  3. Click Yes on the confirmation message that appears
    Note: If patrons are assigned to the homeroom, you can reassign them to another homeroom when the confirmation message appears.

To assign patrons to a homeroom:

Once you set up your homerooms here, you can assign patrons to them in any of the following ways in Admin:

  • Edit individual patron records in Manage Patrons.
  • Update individual or groups of patrons on the Update sub-tab of Update Patrons

Homeroom Uses

Once you set up homerooms and assign students to them, you can generate the following reports, lists and notices by homeroom.
Only homerooms with currently assigned patrons appear in the lists when you select or group by Homeroom.

In Circulation, you can check out by homeroom.

You can delete your patrons by homeroom on the Delete sub-tab of Admin > Update Patrons.
