Resource Lists

In Destiny, you can have multiple Resource Lists. This lets you have separate lists for different tasks, such as cataloging, reviewing items for disposal, importing and exporting. Resource Lists can also be used by:

On Search Results and Title Details pages, you will see a Selected List drop-down. When you want to add titles to a particular Resource List, select the appropriate List. Then, click Add Page to add all resources or Add to This List next to a title.

Use the Resource Lists page to add, copy, edit and delete Resource Lists.

Work with Resource Lists

  1. Select Catalog > Resource List > My List sub-tab.
  2. Do one of the following:
    If you want to…Then…
    Add a List for yourself or with a co-owner
    1. Click Add List. The Add a List page appears.
    2. In the Name field, give the List a recognizable name.
    3. To make the list available to users in your school, select Make this list Public locally.
    4. To make the list available to users in your district, select Make this list Public across the District.
      Note: To make the list public across the district, you must select both the Make this list Public locally and Make this list Public across the District checkboxes.
    5. In the Description field, type information about the contents of your List.
    6. If you want to add a co-owner, enter a search term in the Find Patron field.
    7. Choose a patron record field from the in drop-down.
    8. Click Go.
    9. Next to the patron, click Add. The patron moves to the Select Users section.
    10. When done, click Save. The Resource Lists page opens.
    Note: When you add co-owners, the list appears on each co-owner's My Lists sub-tab.
    Edit a List
    1. Find the Resource List you want to edit, and then click Edit icon..
    2. Update appropriate fields as needed.
    3. When done, click Save. The Resource Lists page appears.
    Delete a List
    1. Find the Resource List you want to delete, and then click Delete icon.. A confirmation message appears.
    2. Click Yes.

    Note: You cannot delete your last or only list.

    View a List

    Next to the list you want to see, click View.

    Copy a List
    1. Find the Resource List you want to copy on either the My Lists or Public List sub-tab, and then click View.
    2. From the I want to drop-down, select Copy this list.
    3. Click Go. The List appears on your My Lists sub-tab.
