Allow patrons to create their user name and password

Select this checkbox to allow patrons to set their own username and password for Destiny.

Important: If you are using LDAP to manage patron user names and passwords, do not select this checkbox.

There are two additional requirements the patron must have to create their own username and password. A patron must have:

• A record in Destiny containing a last name and barcode number.
• The Able to create own login permission selected on the patron's Access Level. This gives you more flexibility in the way you manage patron logins.

Example: You can allow staff members to set their own usernames and passwords, but not students.
